Biological Information

Background Information:

TNIK is a serine/threonine kinase that is involved in cell migration, cytoskeletal organization, and cell proliferation. TNIK kinase activity propagates TGF? and Wnt signaling cascades and the kinase has been implicated in various cancers such as colorectal cancer, ovarian cancer, thyroid cancer, osteosarcoma, and lung squamous cell carcinoma. The kinase has been shown to play key roles in cancer cell proliferation, treatment resistance, and cell migration, largely dependent on its activation of Wnt signaling.
