Biological Information
Background Information:
The InCELL Hunter™ eXpress A549 G9a Methyltransferase Assay provides an easy-to-use cell based assay to study small molecule drug candidates that engage with regulators of epigenetics pathways. This kit assesses compound-engagement-based stabilization of G9a via detection of G9a levels. This product uses EFC technology. The cells included overexpress G9a target protein fused to PL. In the absence of compound that binds and stabilizes the target, this protein is degraded and no EFC signal is produced. When compound engages and stabilizes the target, EA contained in the detection reagent produces EFC signal. eXpress kits are a convenient, ready-to-use format which contains all materials needed to run the assay, including single-use vials of cryopreserved cells, cell plating media, detection reagent, and assay plates.
