Biological Information

Background Information:

Gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP) is a 27 amino acid regulatory neuropeptide that is implicated in both physiological and pathophysiological processes. It is involved in inducing the release of gastrin from G cells of the stomach as well as the regulation of gastric acid secretion and enteric motor function. It also has a role in the circadian system, relaying light signals to the master circadian oscillator in the hypothalamus. Negative feedback regulator of fear, and may also mediate stress. Acts as an agonist for GRPR. Provided as 0.5 mg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer.
